Measures taken to ensure safe travel
Works of track circuiting on trunk routes and main lines speeded up.
Signalling system being made more safe.
Modern communication facilities being provided to help the driver and guard in case of an accident to contact with other trains and stations within a radius of 5 kilometers.
Safety related staff being trained from time to time and Simulators also being used.
No further unmanned level crossing to be opened.
Unmanned level crossings to be converted into manned level crossings on a planned basis with the help of the State Governments.
